Rassouli
Well since we started off painting with light, I thought I'd post a blog about an artist who works with light but in a different abstract way. Rassouli is an artist from Iran, and he's one of my favorite. His paintings are inspired and involve light, which in this context takes a spiritual connotation in his work. I've always been attracted to the bright, vibrant colors he uses in his work.
"LIGHT is my inspiration.
Many mornings, before the dawn, I climb a mountain in the dark to its peak. There, sitting in solitude, I observe sunrise. There is an interconnected serenity that allows all creatures to experience the divine unity. Having felt that creative energy, I rush to my studio, dip my brush into paint and let it move freely on canvas."
These are a few examples of his work:
You can find out more about him and check out his work here
(if you don't like his work, you at least gotta check out his groovy mustache...he could be Yanni's long lost brother)
Alright thats the first blog done...hey it wasn't too bad.
