Bunny suicides

Yay for spring!
Sunny weather, flowers blooming, birds chirping...and bunnies committing suicide.

I was buying a book at Shakespeare the other day and while waiting in line to pay, I saw a book called The Book of Bunny Suicides by Andy Riley. Yeah it sounds kinda morbid of having a book all about different ways bunnies creatively attempt to kill themselves...but I was kinda embarrassed at bursting into laughter in the store while flipping thru it. Its just a bunch of cartoons of cute, innocent little bunnies trying to get in harm's way and end their lives.

Check out these artists!

This past weekend I had a friend visiting from Kansas, so we went crazy gallery hopping in Chelsea. I sometimes we forget we have such awesome shows in the city.

These are a few artists that have shows up currently:

Michael Raedecker
Sometimes the use of string can be really cliche, but I think he pulls it off pretty damn well. Its at the Andrea Rosen gallery right now.

Eric Zener
I've always found it challenging to paint water, so I'm really jealous of his work.

Monica Cook
Stricoff Fine Art Gallery

Jil Weinstock
She does some really bizarre stuff...in her current exhibition she's got material in rubber casings.

Not another forward..

I've recently come to a conclusion that my mother is the queen of forwards. I come home everyday and check my mail, and I find my inbox filled with like 10 emails from her..not one of them being a real email but ones about life, happiness and lame jokes. But today I came home and actually started laughing when I saw one of the mails. Maybe there's still some hope left.

Anyways this one was about what if Bush went through with the ports deal and the Arabs invaded America...

photoshop does wonders.
enjoy!
